fake-a-gamo VI 完成！ Finally complete my fake-a-gamo( What a long journey~~)

週末我把我的裁縫機搬出來玩耍～這是我去年收到的聖誕禮物只是因為我從沒操作過,所以每次只要拿出來就要拿著手冊一個一個步驟的從穿針到捲bobbin然後常常bobbin還很不給面子的會卡住@@所以每次只要想到要用裁縫機我就是一個頭兩個大.但這個週末我實在是覺得我應該把我的fake-a-gamo完成,這麼漂亮的包包一直被我冷落的放在旁邊真的是對他很不公平！ 所以我就拿出我的裁縫機～嘿嘿～一次搞定ㄟ～～不過我還是有耍小白吃～正反縫錯,所以拆線又花了好一陣子@@ I finally took out my sewing machine which was my Last Xmas present from Andy. I never used one before I got it. So I was very UNFAMILIAR withi it. Everttime I use it, I need to do it step by step according to the manual. Yes! From putting on the thread, wind the bobbing, etc. And I had so much trouble with the bobbing=.= So I wasn't keen to use sewing machine. Honestly I've finished this bag for quite a while. But I hadn't manage to do my lining. Last weekend I just thought this is such a lovely bag, if I don't do it NOW. It might end up being put on the corner FOREVER!!! so I made up my mind to just do it!!!Lucily! I didn't suffer a lot to finish the lining, except I sewed it in side out the first time.

縫完內裡後開始縫把手反而輕鬆很多呢..最困難的居然是如何把內裡漂亮的跟包包縫合.我逢的不是很美=.=不過至少已經有個內裡可以開始用了=.= 希望下次再做包包可以有比較漂亮的內裡,上次打cable bag時因為是麻花包所以織片很緊密的在一起,縫內裡時很簡單,但fake-a-gamo是個很多洞洞的包所以我不知道怎麼縫得很紮實因為擔心線會露出來就不好了

After sewing the lining, it was much easier to sew the handles. The most difficult part was out of my expection-- how to sew the lining perfectly inside the bag. I have to admit that Ididn't do it well. But at least I can start using it NOW!!! I hope I can make it better next time. The first bag I made was a cable bag. Maybe because of the pattern was full of cable. It was quite solid to sew the lining . Unfortunately Fake-a-gamo isn't bag with lovely pattern which has some holes. That is why I didn't know how to sewing the lining in a better way.

今天已經拿去上班自己對於自己的包包自戀到不行..哈哈哈哈...除了內裡需要改進之外,真是無可挑剔阿！！！
I couldn't wait to have carried my fake-a-gamon to work today even I nealy missed my train this morning.( I rushed to change my bag just before I left) I was so happy about it! Except the lining.

昨天終於下定決心定了我的bag handles. 找來找去終於在pelennapatchworks找到
一對cane handle 3.5英鎊,其實比起john lewis已經便宜許多
原本一直在ebay尋覓,無奈大多數都是u型或是圓形,另外找到一家美國的中盤商但他不賣零售
所以最後終於找到pelennapatchworks真開心！
昨天定貨今天就收到了呢！
所以希望週末我可以一鼓作氣把我的fake-a-gamo完工！

Finally I made up my mind to order bag handles on pelennapatchworks. It is the cheapest I could find so far. One pair is GBP 3.5. The delievery is 1.5 within UK. If the oder is over15 will be free. I spent lots of time looking for straight handles. Most of them are in U shape or round or any knid of shapes except straight. It was very exciting when I finally found this at pelenapatchworks. They also sould lots of lovely fabric. I was quite tempting to order some from them.
I made my order yesterday around noon and got it today! So fast and nice package!
I hope I can finish my fake-a-gamo this weekend!!

不過應該可以很清楚的看到紋路吧...真是個越看越美麗包包(又自己陶醉起來)

禮拜六終於織完fake-a-gamo,這一次學到很多新的技巧.所以過程雖然挫折連連,但其實完成後非常的開心.下午去市區買lining,只可惜的沒買到.所以過兩天可能要去peterjones買布.市區的先生說現在賣布的越來越少了,很多人來問黑色的布只是不知道為什麼一直沒進貨=.=（os.那你們就趕快進貨壓...嗚嗚）

I finally finished my fake-a-gamo, I've learned a lot of new techniques through the process. Sometimes I felt upset but I was extremely happy and satisfied with it. I've learned how to do reverse stitch and also dling double wrap.
I went to Hounslow downtown to get lining for my fake-a-gamon; unfortunately they don't have much fabric. The salesman said it's shame less and less shop selling fabrics now. There are many people asking for black fabric, but they don't sell it.( o.s.: Since so many people asked, why didn't you sell??!!)

本來有考慮要買豹紋的但後來想想還是用黑色好了,因為我很懶沒有去注意怎麼打yo,所以現在只好買黑色的布來遮掩（羞～～）
I've hought of buying leopard pattern as the lining but I still decided to use black. Because I haven't read how to make the yo smaller before I started so I had no choice but use black to cover the whole now.

fake-a-gamo III 辛酸史-My nearly-done fake-a-gamo

雖然說這個包包很美麗,但果不其然美麗必須付出很多代價
因為我很瞎的狂打所以就沒注意到第二段patter2要減針準備接把手
所以只好...拆..(第一次心碎~~並且發誓以後一定要看好才開打)

Just as I thought, it will never be easy to knit this lovely bag; but when all the struggles came out, it still made me quite frustrated. It probably because I was so desperated to complete it, so I didn't even read through the whole pattern, just concentrated to knit it. I didn't realize I need to do some decrease on the 2nd pattern 2 to fit .so when I finished the 2nd pattern2, oh dear, the only thing I need to do it unknit it. ( This is the first time, and I learned a very good lesson- never start a project before I read it through the whole pattern.

花很多時間研究出來之後 也累了
所以隔天抱著毛線去參加IKNIT開打第二片織片
結果也不知道是因為第一次去太緊張還是顧著跟大家聊天
打了一整個晚上居然第二個Pattern開始我都打反了
最扯的是我隔天在火車上也是開心的猛打都沒發現
一直到晚上我覺得越看越不對勁到底哪邊怪怪的呀才發現(holly molly!!!)
所以只好...拆...(好想死ㄚ~~~)

It's interesting to cast off stitched in the middle of the row. It was also my first time ever to do this. It took me some time to realize it and after that, I felt so tired. so I carried my new yarn to start the 2nd part of the bag(the back side) I didn'[t know I was too nervous or I enjoyed the meetup too much. I spent the whole night but I didn't find I reverse the whole bag( Maybe I missed 1 row. Heavern knows!!) The oddest thing is I didn't find out even the next day on the train. Until that night, I just didn't understand why it didn't look right. so I took out the picture and check and then .....errr.....What an idiot I was...

昨天回家發現 我把我的織片留在公司
所以又把第一片織片拿出來完成了右邊
雖然打到最後cast off我已經累到腰酸背痛
但很開心ㄟ～
感覺我的包包很快很快就要完成了

I accidentally left my back side in the office. So I took out the front side and finished the right handle part. It is a little achievement when I finished the cast-off. Although I was exhausted then. I think my lovely fake-a-gamo will be done very soon.

fake-a-gamo II

整個週末有空時又繼續跟這個包包奮戰～
目前已經進入到打把手的位置～遇到了很嚴重的問題～
打第二個patter2在第一排25針之後cast off 3st.接下來再把後續的st打完
之後第二排打到cast off那邊後我就不知道何去何從了
因為我只要繼續打到左邊把手兩邊就會打在一塊兒那這樣永遠都沒辦法分開
所以我禮拜天到kingston的john lewis求救！
才知道cast off後只能先打一個半邊 沒辦法一起打

還好被解救了但還有更大的困難在後面
打半邊還要隔一牌要cast off
所以我只好自己重新把pattern做筆記！（oh dear~~)
一邊不要忘記雙排都是由左往右打所以要記得看著pattern其實要倒過來
打到最後因為最後一個步驟錯誤發現跟照片不一樣,只好拆！
還好john lewis的小姐說的對：不懂的時候看圖片,照片會說話
我開始自己研究,試打
所以第15排最後原本是double wrap但不需要double wrap
第十六排就直接k就好 終於打好半邊！！終於！！！

現在要開始研究什麼是reverse stitch還有學到應該把pattern整個讀懂再開打,我常常做料理也是這樣,所以到一半就會遇到很多trouble. 我決定要改掉這個壞習慣！！

I spent most of my free time to work on fake-a-gamo
Because now is in the critical handle position, I encountered a very big challenge which I haven't met before.
I have to cast off 3 st. after 25st. and then continue the pattern. This is my first time to cast on in th emiddle of the project. So I knitted accordingly. after that I continued to knit hte 2nd row when I knit until where I just casted off. I didn't know where should I knit. If I countinue to knit over, the 2 parts between the handles will be knitted together, which isn't the result I want. So what the hell should I knit? I think I probably can knit the 3rd row and continue til the pattern2 finished. but I wasn't so sure. I decided to go to Kingston for help.
It was a rainy day. The weather wasn't so nice as my mood. I was frustrated about my bag. and I really wanted to know the answer. I couldn't sleep well because I was keeping thinking of a question which I didn't have answer. Thank God I met a very helpful lady who told me I should just forget the left side( Since I am working on the right side) continue my work at the right side and finish it and then it will be done. I was very happy I went and get the answer I wanted.

I came home to continue my knitting. Undoubtedly, I encountered more problems in the back. Thank God I remember what the lady told me. The picture will tell you the answer when you puzzle. SHE IS RIGHT. I made some mistake by knitting according to the pattern. so I look at the picture and hope it can tell me the direction. I revised it myself and it did look like what it should be.

The 15th row should be k5(double wrap), p19, k9(without double wrap-'cause you want to keep this for the edge of the handle)

Now I have to learn how to do reverse st. and knit the back now!

I found I have a very bad habit: I start knitting without reading the whole pattern. I am like this when I cook! This is not very good. That's why I stuck in the middle now and that's why I am used to in a caos when I cook. I promise I will discard this habit!

最近因為英國天氣莫名的好了起來所以駝毛的小外套打起來很熱,
開始轉換目標開打新包包！！
這個包包就是用之前買的cathey來打的～
第一次打棉線但手感很好！但棉線不像毛線那麼有彈性,所以tension就要比較注意！
British Summer turns to very warm these days, so I stop temporarily knitting my cardigan and start my fake-a-gamo. This bag is knitted by Debbie Bliss cathey which I bought in Peter Jones at 50% off!! This is the first time I knit by cotton. Cotton isn't like wool so elastic but Cathay is a very nice yarn to knit. I do like it a lot. Shame British weather won't allow me to knit many cotton clothes to wear here.
這個包包大概是在2006年的時候有狂熱一陣吧！但我最近才發現
所以我才開始加入開打行列～

這個pattern有個很神奇的地方就是要用double wrap跟drop 11 stitches然後knit together!!
所以我昨天一整天都對著這個神奇的部分發呆！！
當然就一邊上班一邊若有所思～
然後因為打不出來就悶悶不熱～（當然對外就宣稱是因為天氣太熱所以發懶）
昨天下班前被我打出來（其實是因為自己看不懂那些英文吧～每個字都看的懂但是湊在一起就是不懂還虧人家寫的那麼清楚）
anyway,想出來後興奮的想要放煙火ㄟ！！
不過因為在上班不能太囂張！
I learned something new this time. Which is double wrap and drop. I didn't firgure out this amazing part at the first time. The more frustration I get, the desirably I want to figure it out. It turned out I kept thinking of it the whole day yesterday. It made me so upset cause even I tried to looked at it thousand times I still didn't get it. ( I claimed it was all because of the hot weather!) Thank God I finally worked it out before 5! So I tried it on the train back home( I couldn't wait to take out my yarn to try but I couldn't!!)Anyway, it's always nice to work it out!
