午餐袋完成～lunch sack

打了一個月才打好的午餐袋～(其實九月就打好了～帶一直拖到現在才上傳照片

打完之後發現拿來套在頭上尺寸還剛剛好,還好我沒有要搶銀行否則這應該比套絲襪還要舒服很多

這次學到打i-cord跟french knot.

因為打i-cord原本需要兩隻雙頭的棒針但我沒有所以我就用單頭棒針推過來推過去的

有沒有很小聰明阿～～(省錢OBS只好動腦筋）

french knot其實跟小時候媽媽交我縫衣服時打結線的尾巴很像呢～

所以一下子就妝點好我的午餐包

這個午餐包的guage因為一直橋不好換大號棒針後發現洞很大所以最後決定多重複一個花色讓尺寸可以剛剛好～說回來這是我第二次用棉線上次是用debbie bliss的cathay這次是jaeger的aqua.cathay的質感好摸多了也比較有彈性.aqua就是硬梆梆的～所以還好是拿來打包包,要是拿來打衣服大概也會變成一件硬梆梆的衣服吧＠＠

本來還在擔心說這個午餐包會不會不夠大因為我常常是帶著巨無霸便當出門（雖然我是哈比人但我的食量很大！）但打完後發現還可以塞一根香蕉還錯錯有餘ㄟ～～所以還頂滿意的～哈！

後來發現還是不太實用～因為最近吃好多喔～所以需要後背包才夠裝食物～另外白色綁帶子的地方因為袋子打的guage可能太大,用兩次開始有點鬆動＠＠

ms4-打五排

打五排發現第三輪有一針漏針～～～～～～～～～～～～～
好想死～～～～～
所以我打算明天來拆～～～重打～
反正每次打project都需要重打,這也不是第一次..
只是這次有珠珠～～很煩～～每一顆珠子都是用牙線一棵一棵鉤上去的～～=.=
覺得自己好像要拖窗了＠＠

MS4-my swatch

線材很早已前就收到了但是因為我第一次打lace yarn完全不曉得會這麼細收到的時候真是傻眼呢.當然有嘗試馬上要來打但馬上就發現沒辦法.所以只好趕快來買yarn swift& ball winder.有了捲線器真是好多了.但因為買的時候買家說有點重所以我想說那寄到安迪公司去好了他可以開車幫我載回來結果遇到他瘋狂出差週～～硬是等到上個禮拜五才收到=.=!!!

My yarn is from Lane Borgosesia, I eventually bought it from Pavi yarn.They are quite good and fast. My first choice wasn't this shp. Unfortunately the shop I had bought didn't have the color in stock although THEY SHOW IT ON THEIR WEBIST. I was quite frustrated to have such an unpleasant experience I don't think I will buy anything from them now. They didn't get the money from my card but they just wasted me my time.=.=" And even I was told they don't have that color in stock I still could see this on their webist. I don't think it's good although I know maintain a webite isn't an easy job.

I was quite amazied how thin lace yarn us. Of course I at once tried to cast on BUT I didn't want toruin it for I didn't have a ball winder. Such a thin yarn will denefitely caused a very big trouble. I thought of the importance to have a yarn swift and ball winder. I bought it in the end. I knew if I don't have them I couldn't do anything about the yarn. I thought it might be eaiser to ship to Andy's office and then he could bring it back to me. Such a wonderful plan, wasn't it? anothe BUT. He was so busy to out of his office for the whole week~~~~~~~~~ so I didn't get them til last Friday.

收到之後禮拜天我們兩個就在玩新玩具,安迪說還好我沒答應你拿我的手讓你當yarn swift.因為光是有新玩具也捲了好久ㄟ～～捲完後就開始要來打了

We were both ecxited of them. Andy helped me set them up and even helped me wind the ball. He seemed enjoy it. And he said I was soo brilliant not to promise you to be your yarn swift. It took such a long time to wind the skein(100g) I don't think I wanted to torture himn like this.

我的swatch今天剛剛打好～但乍看之下跟regina的很不一樣！！超傷心～
這個swatch是用圖示法其實也是有好處..圖示法的時候打完要是跟圖長不一樣
應該就知道打錯了...!@@##$還好長的有點像啦～我想大概是我和regina拉的大小不一樣吧（等下有空再來仔細研究～～）

I just finished my swatch!! It didn't look the same as Regina's=.= What happened??!! I quite like to knit by Western pics. the good thing is they will note what those symbles means rather than Japanese way. YOU HAVE TO CHECK WHAT THEY MEAN WHEN KNIT JAPANESE PATTERN!!! and the good thing is the project should look very similar when you finish it. I reckon it looked quite the same. So maybe just the differnece from size. mine and Regina's ( I will take a good look afterwards)

昨天repeat時不小心漏針害我完全不知到要拆到那邊去才可以看的懂一整個想哭～～lace yarn 打起來怎麼這麼累阿＝．＝（這下又想買個打毛線專用檯燈因為英國的房子都超暗的這種時候超級想念台灣的家的客廳都是大展的日光燈好幾盞～這樣打起來一定很明亮）
好崇拜regina還打了兩個swatch..之後還打了珠珠....
我想我沒力氣打兩個swatch..我就要這樣用四號針給他打下去了啦...（羞～）

I started on Monday night but I redid quite a few times. I think I need some time to get used to yarn lace. I accidentally sliiped a stitch and then I didn't know how far I needed to go to pick it up=.= so upset!!! Now my new toy target is a knitting lamp for light in British house is not so brlight. I don't know how Regina can made 2 swatches and after than some swatch with beads. I thnk I will stick to this one and just knit by no4 needle for I have no power to make another watch now. ^_^

紀念光頭妹-Wan Chen McGuinness

因為打毛線的關係，我認識了光頭妹，tka的織友來自世界各地，很巧的光頭妹跟我剛好都住在倫敦．我們第一次見面是因為我寫信給他相約來去angel的LOOP毛線店，剛開始到倫敦上班的我對於市區的交通很不熟悉，做地鐵還很不幸的遲到了一下下所以我們兩個一進到LOOP店員臉就很臭的說：我們快要關門了（開到六點）＠＠　

The reason I know Wan-Chen is just because we both are knit-loves. Through TKA, I knew she is like me living in London. I didn't know many people in this city because I didn't move here very long. I realized if I never try to know people, people will never know me. So I wrote her an email and invited her to go to Loop. I wasn't so familiar with the traffic in London so I was a bit late when I arrived Angel tube station. When we stepped into Loop, the staff wasn't too happy and said we're nearly close!@@

我們兩個都是逛毛線店就會很興奮的人，所以雖然只有十分鐘，一進到loop還是這裡看那裡摸的，這是我們第一次見面，但我從他的部落格裡已經默默欣賞了他的編織作品很久，光頭妹愛用GGH的毛線，而且他挑的顏色都讓我好驚豔！雖然只是很短的時間，那一天剛好他隔幾天要去面試，因為公司規定他一定要穿黑色的正式衣服，所以我們還在angel逛了好一陣子才道別

We both like yarn shop a lot. Although we only had 10 min, we still tried our best to touch yarns, feel it, and left sadly. This is the first time I met her. Before that, I already saw lots of her knitting stuff through her blog. I adnired the color she chose for her projects. Because she was going to have an interview, so we did some window shopping around angel before we parted.

再來就夏天了，光頭妹也怠惰的沒打毛線，我只好一個人默默的打我的毛線，不過我還是有空就會上一下他的甄製瞧瞧是否他又有什麼驚人之作！前一陣子光頭妹又自己回來TKA,所以我也很興奮的快點約他見面，我們在victoria見面時還相約好互相都穿著剛剛打好的毛衣,他穿著他最近打好的poncho,還秀給我看什麼是fisherman's rib. 這一天見面,我們還分享了很多編織的心情,我真的很開心可以認識光頭妹,因為我的同事雖然對於我打毛線這件事情，大多數都是從很驚訝到很羨慕，但因為興趣不同，很難跟他們分享我的心情，還好這一切，光頭妹都懂.那天他還跟我說他們結婚紀念日那天騎車到brighton,她老公還特地準備了一個腳踏車專用的tomtom但還是不小心的騎上了高速公路把他嚇得半死！他跟我分享他是怎麼嘗試著從他家Hackey一路騎到　SOUTH KENSINNTON但還是沒有成功，第一次騎到Holborn就放棄了～我跟他分享我第一次被呼嘯而過的車子整個困在圓環中間很想哭的心情.那一天是我這半年來第一次參加毛線聚會最開心的一天.那天之後，我好期待下一次我們的見面，不過我擔心他又忙下一次見面又不知道要等到什麼時候所以我就寫信給他，謝謝他昨天陪我打毛線跟打屁,他隔了兩個禮拜才回我信,但在信上盡是道歉說不好意思這麼晚回,但他很興奮的說他終於成功的從他家騎到公司了！還說他很開心他會試著天天這麼做.22/9我回信給他說你真是勇敢ㄟ～一直到今天,我還在等他的信,想說都說好要打毛線了,這小女生不知道又在忙什麼,過兩天來打電話給他好了...

Summer comes and Wan chan might be oppucied by something else. I still continued my knitting. But I still went to her blog to see if she restarted her knitting again every now and then. It was very exciting when she back to TKA,I couldn't wait to email her to check what she was knitting and when we could meet! We met at London Victoria and we both wore what we just knitted. I also gave her the pattern I just knitted.She showed me how to do the fishermnan's rib she just learned. I did enjoy the day a lot. and I felt so lucky to know her in this city. I don't have too many friends, especially someone with the same hobby as me. Most of my colleagues were surprised when they know I knit. Except that, nothing much. It is totally different experience when I chat knitting with Wanchen or Regina or Celia, it feels like they do care about what you wanna say except just trying to listen.
Besides knitting she talked a lot about cycling. She also mentioned she and her husband cycled to Briton from London for 5 hours. He prepared a tomtom for the bikes but it directed them to the motor way which freaked her out! And how terrified when she tried to cycle from Hackey to south kensignton.She tried several times and failed. but she still loved to try it. I thought she was such a brave girl because I live in zone 5. the traffic is much much better than central london. But I had a horrible experience when I cycled just around where I live. I stocked in the middle of a round-about and I decided never ever do that again. That was the most wonderful meetup I had for that last 6 months. I was so looking forward to the day we meet again. I gave her some knitting information through email and thanked her to have given me such a wonderful time.She didn't manage to reply my mail after 2 weeks. She apologised for being so late to reply my mail. and say we defnetely will meet again soon. She also mentioned she finally successfully cycled from her place to south kensignton. She was happy about that and she was gonna try to do it everyday. I was very surprised she did it. I was waiting for her mail until today. and was thinking i might call her to book time to meet.

我下班通常都是拿london lite不拿the london paper的,我通常下班坐火車回家就是拿london lite,五分鐘翻完剛好換車,剛好開始打毛線.我今天不知道為什麼,突然拿起被丟在一邊座位的the london paper.我突然看到光頭妹的照片.我想...難怪他這麼忙.不會是因為有表演吧...我有點興奮的要讀起文章.我突然發現標題好像不是我期待的..我驚訝...我不知道該說什麼..我想..我是不是弄錯了..但那名字..那照片..就是連我認識的光頭妹....這種事情不應該發生在一個超級小心的腳踏車騎士...尤其是一個連公車停在站牌都會乖乖的等公車開走才繼續騎腳踏車的人.這～是怎麼一回事...原來這就是我等不到他回信的原因...
I normally take london lite rather than the london paper. I normally took london lite, flipped through just before I changed my train, started knitting on my journey home. I didn't know why I tool the london paper set aside me today. I saw a picture looks like Wan chen. I thought- No wonder she had been so busy, she must have a performance or something. I was a bit excited to read something about her. BUT THE TITLE SEEMED NOT WHAT I HAD EXPECTED. I was ASTONISHED.. I didn't know what I should say, what I felt. It must be a big joke. There must be something wrong about it. But the photo, the name, is exactly the lovely adorable Wanchen I knew. I couldn't believe how come it will happen to a super cautious cyclist. Especially she was a girl who would wait behind the bus whenever buses stops at bus stop. What was going on??? It is actually the reason why I haen't got her reply......

我詛咒那個肇事又逃逸的卡車司機！你最好盡快被抓到！王八蛋！！！


CYCLIST DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT

我今天定了線～～決定用debbie bliss cashmerino dk來打！
因為下週線就到ㄟ～～^_^

best friend cardigan 1-haven't found the right yarn yet.

這個毛衣是用twinkle每天都在網路上花很多時間在找這個線,但找來找去英國就是沒有適合的,今天走路去peter jones問小姐,小姐說這個喔是沒有類似的頂多就是rowan的big wool或debbie bliss 的como（不過這也是小妹自己做功課找出來的）但因為要用15mm的針所以會很空.也許比較好的方式是用兩股下去打...兩股的意思～～就是～～會花很多錢＠＠

因為上次cable bag是用big wool打的,所以我自己覺得我不是很喜歡100% wool的質感,所以我這次對於como超有興趣的！我自己突發奇想的說我是不是可以縮小針號,並且換成como,（一球快五英鎊的como我都決心要砸下去了ㄟ！）...但小姐說,你先回家拿big wool適打要是gauge會對～你再回來買como...........好吧...又是個無所獲的一日.....

很想買毛線是又不能買..真的很悶..但可以看到一堆毛線....就又好興奮....有時候覺得自己好變態阿！！！

fake-a-gamo VI 完成！ Finally complete my fake-a-gamo( What a long journey~~)

週末我把我的裁縫機搬出來玩耍～這是我去年收到的聖誕禮物只是因為我從沒操作過,所以每次只要拿出來就要拿著手冊一個一個步驟的從穿針到捲bobbin然後常常bobbin還很不給面子的會卡住@@所以每次只要想到要用裁縫機我就是一個頭兩個大.但這個週末我實在是覺得我應該把我的fake-a-gamo完成,這麼漂亮的包包一直被我冷落的放在旁邊真的是對他很不公平！ 所以我就拿出我的裁縫機～嘿嘿～一次搞定ㄟ～～不過我還是有耍小白吃～正反縫錯,所以拆線又花了好一陣子@@ I finally took out my sewing machine which was my Last Xmas present from Andy. I never used one before I got it. So I was very UNFAMILIAR withi it. Everttime I use it, I need to do it step by step according to the manual. Yes! From putting on the thread, wind the bobbing, etc. And I had so much trouble with the bobbing=.= So I wasn't keen to use sewing machine. Honestly I've finished this bag for quite a while. But I hadn't manage to do my lining. Last weekend I just thought this is such a lovely bag, if I don't do it NOW. It might end up being put on the corner FOREVER!!! so I made up my mind to just do it!!!Lucily! I didn't suffer a lot to finish the lining, except I sewed it in side out the first time.

縫完內裡後開始縫把手反而輕鬆很多呢..最困難的居然是如何把內裡漂亮的跟包包縫合.我逢的不是很美=.=不過至少已經有個內裡可以開始用了=.= 希望下次再做包包可以有比較漂亮的內裡,上次打cable bag時因為是麻花包所以織片很緊密的在一起,縫內裡時很簡單,但fake-a-gamo是個很多洞洞的包所以我不知道怎麼縫得很紮實因為擔心線會露出來就不好了

After sewing the lining, it was much easier to sew the handles. The most difficult part was out of my expection-- how to sew the lining perfectly inside the bag. I have to admit that Ididn't do it well. But at least I can start using it NOW!!! I hope I can make it better next time. The first bag I made was a cable bag. Maybe because of the pattern was full of cable. It was quite solid to sew the lining . Unfortunately Fake-a-gamo isn't bag with lovely pattern which has some holes. That is why I didn't know how to sewing the lining in a better way.

今天已經拿去上班自己對於自己的包包自戀到不行..哈哈哈哈...除了內裡需要改進之外,真是無可挑剔阿！！！
I couldn't wait to have carried my fake-a-gamon to work today even I nealy missed my train this morning.( I rushed to change my bag just before I left) I was so happy about it! Except the lining.

這是我第一件披肩我沒有想到會這麼快就完成呢！（果然粗毛線可以打很快ㄟ） 雖然是一件設計很簡單的披肩但卻很有自己的特色,唯一比較困擾的是不知道揹包包時是該揹在裡面還是外面,所以我決定要把包包換成提的,所以這代表--我要快點來完成我的fake-a-gamo!!(昨天我鼓起勇氣把我的裁縫機拿出來把內裡縫好了@_@)

This is a shawl I have been attracted for a long time. I didn't realize it would be finished so quickly! only 2 weeks!! Godness! Although it's a very simple design but it does has its own charaster. The only flaw is when I hold a handbag I don't know whether to carry it inside the shawl or outside.:) Which really inspires me to finish my fake-a-gamo( I actually took out my sewing machine and complete th elining last night.)

這個毛線是jeager的natural fleece,已經停產了,但我因為喜歡他的顏色所以買來打打看,這個毛線最大的缺點是,有時會很粗有時會很細,我在打的時候很擔心打完整件衣服看起來會 有些地方的毛線很粗有些地方太細,但打完卻很意外的沒有這個問題,不過我想有機會在打粗毛線我應該不會再買這一款毛線,給其他粗毛線一個機會. 上次打粗毛線是rowan的big wool,兩個都是粗毛線（但natural fleece更粗一些）都是100% wool,但觸感JAEGER的好很多～可惜粗細不一=.=

The yarn I used this time is natural fleece from JAEGER. It is already discountinued. I like the color that was why I gave it a try. The biggest shortcoming is the yab has very uneven thickness. I was so worried the shawl would look not right when finished. Thank God it doesn't happen! I don't think I will buy the same yarn to knit next time. The last timne I use bulky yarn is big wool from ROWAN. they're both 100% lambwool but I prefer the texture of JAEGER.


我鈕釦是在ebay上面買的,照片實在是照的太美了,所以我反而有點擔心品質不會像照片那麼好,但是很意外的實體就像照片一樣唷～非常的有質感！（要謝謝 Celia跟Regina幫我票選二號！哈！）縫在衣服上也很好看呢～～我發現織圖扣子的位子縫起來後最後一顆有點拐拐的,所以我後來自己把扣子的位置移的比較後面這樣可以調成扣扣子時下擺是剛好成一圈,我自己覺得這樣比原本的設計好看,也會剛好可以讓領子的地方突出的很漂亮.
the button is from ul ebay:belloandbellissimo. They are as lovely as what the picture looked like. And they were delivered very fast!! well packed. I recommand this seller if your'e in the uk.( I wanna thank Regina and Celia to have picked such wonderufl buttons for me. They go so well with this shawl!!)I found the position of the last button will make the shawl doesn't look quite right if you knit it according to the pattern. So I moved it a bit further to make it a smooth line among the three buttoons. And I also think it makes the collars looks much better. I really like the little altering for myself!


帽子的地方是用半針縫合,我看了圖之後覺得跟flat seam很像一邊又心急的想要趕快完成,就自己開心怎樣縫合就下手了！有時候覺得編織本來就是要隨心所欲完全照原圖縫反而綁手綁腳,最後是用三針縫合的方式bind off. （引き抜き）這些專有名詞真的常搞的我頭昏腦脹的～～有時候會覺得乾脆直接打英文織圖算了,但看著日本的圖就又一直留口水...=.="
好猶豫阿～～(這一段有些我不會翻譯因為我不是很懂這些專有名詞=.=)

the hood was beamed by 半針縫合. I wasn't sure how to do it, but I reclon it looked like flat seam meanwhile, I was so desperate to finish it.( I was so close!!!) so I just did it on my own way. I think knitting shouldn't be a pressure to do whatever the pattern told us.( of course some main principle we still need to obey!) the most important thing is I ENJOY it! and if I did, why kept worried about which way is the correct way. I feel frustrarted when I encountered these terminology but I also learned and felt so happy when I realize what they are.


Note:
11/9 Finished the half part of the shawl.
14/9 Finished shawl..Will work on hood now.
19/9 put on buttons and make my first-ever button holes
20/9 use 半目とじ to seam two sides of the hoods, I reckin that’s flat seam. and then (引き抜き)3 needle bind-off to finish the hood.
20/9 I changed the position of the last button to make it look more smoothly.
やっとできました。。そんなにかかるじゃないね。。よかった！

MS4:1 悶～～upset...

上禮拜很開心的報名了MS4,而且想說要來打給我娘，給他一個驚喜～上禮拜五很心急的找毛線跟珠珠，畢竟MS4已經開打好一陣子了，而且這是我第一次找蕾斯線跟珠子，加上這是要送我娘的不是自己要用的，所以掙扎好久才選好顏色，大多數在美國的人都是買knitpicks,但英國買不到，所以只好流口水，最後還好Regina說Lane Borgosesia也蠻不錯的,所以就決定來試試看！我一直是個很不會看照片下決定的人，還好Regina有幫我挑毛線跟珠珠的顏色，放心多了！下定好後就一直想著禮拜一應該就會收到

I registered to join MS4 last week. I was thinking to make it for my mom to surprise her. I spent quite a long while to find the right yarn and beads. I wasn't easy for me for I was first time to knit by lace yarn. Most of the members knit by knitpicks, unfortunately I can't buy knitpack in the UK. so finally I found Lane Borgosesia on internet and Regina said she's heard people recommand this yarn, which was a big relieve for me. I never realize it is a big task to find a right color for my mom. Thanks for Regina she gave me lots of opinions on the yarn and beads. I am those kinf of person to have problem to make a decision unless I see the stuff in front of me. I did enjoy the whole process of looking for materials.

禮拜一～什麼都沒有到

禮拜二，還好珠珠到了無奈的是今天珠珠已經到了但毛線店居然打來說毛線缺貨（奇怪ㄟ～你沒貨你網站上不會寫喔．．還害我看半天好不容易決定好顏色今天才說沒貨而且還不知道要等多久～～）

Anyways, I put my order on line last Friday and couln't wait for Monday's coming.
Monday, nothing came.
Tuesday, finally my beads came. The color is very rich and just like what I think. Where's my yarn??! I tried to call the shop, the lady who answered the phone said she was too busy to deal with it. Maybe I couldn't try to call tomorrow.
Wed, I got the call from the shop, unfortunately they don't have the yarn.???!!! Why...I was very upset because if they could note out of stock on internet, at least I can try other colors. Now I've

フードつきショール2 選那個？-which one?

我的shawl就在不知不覺中已經完成主體的部分,剩下帽子就完工了ㄟ～現在努力找扣子中

目標物有

1.這是我目前最中意的～但好像也不是十全十美～～

2.雖然最有質感,但好像旁邊太厚了一點

3.單純是喜歡這種扣子,但顏色太淺了一點

大家覺得哪一個比較適合阿？？

也許上週天氣不是很佳本來要打小外套的但不知道為什麼毛線一拿起來就打起來這件shawl,應該是因為天氣不好怕小外套是短袖的比較穿不到吧：P

第一次用jeager的natural fleece,但很不滿意有時粗有時細,而且很明顯的有時候很粗有時候很細,光頭妹說也許是故意的,所以我想我只好接受,在ravelry很努力的找其他人對這款毛線的comments,但也沒什麼人提到,還有人給他五顆星評價,我自己只給一顆星,不過打了2/3之後效果還頂滿意的,所以還是別計較了～這款pattern只是很簡單的一行下針一行上針,再 一行下針然後2p2k,低調的很好看,就有一點點格子的紋路感,可能因為毛線很粗,所以居然這次只花一個禮拜就完成2/3,好驚人喔！！

明天要開始打帽子的部分,真的好喜歡帽子唷,尤其在風大的英國,有帽子就更保暖一些,

fake-a-gamo V-received my bag handle

昨天終於下定決心定了我的bag handles. 找來找去終於在pelennapatchworks找到
一對cane handle 3.5英鎊,其實比起john lewis已經便宜許多
原本一直在ebay尋覓,無奈大多數都是u型或是圓形,另外找到一家美國的中盤商但他不賣零售
所以最後終於找到pelennapatchworks真開心！
昨天定貨今天就收到了呢！
所以希望週末我可以一鼓作氣把我的fake-a-gamo完工！

Finally I made up my mind to order bag handles on pelennapatchworks. It is the cheapest I could find so far. One pair is GBP 3.5. The delievery is 1.5 within UK. If the oder is over15 will be free. I spent lots of time looking for straight handles. Most of them are in U shape or round or any knid of shapes except straight. It was very exciting when I finally found this at pelenapatchworks. They also sould lots of lovely fabric. I was quite tempting to order some from them.
I made my order yesterday around noon and got it today! So fast and nice package!

Margaret Cardigan IV-Finished 小外套完工！

終於完成我的第一件小外套,完成後才發現其實比我想像的小件很多,原本我預期會是一件不是那麼包的衣服,但打完才發現除了袖子的地方特寬有符合我想要的小外套之外,領子的地方其實頂包的..(Oh my God..) 而且果然如我預知的,袖口的地方太寬＠＠

Finally finished my first-ever cardigan. It was much smaller than I thought it would be. I expected it will be a cardigan rather a shrug. Except the sleeves are quite wide, the collar is quite fit. and as I had worried, the cuffs were way too wide.

其實當初打完袖口時我就有先試套在手上,還 特別量了一下自己其他的外套的袖口寬度,但考量到冬天穿了毛衣後應該會需要大一點點,而且既然是日本的織圖,依照日本女生的尺寸,對我來說應該是不會有太 大的疑慮,不過結果還是大太多,畢竟成品是一件很包的小外套,不像我原本想像的是一件寬寬的外套所以,袖口可能要拆掉重打（嗚嗚～～）

I did try to put it on when I finished cuffs. In order not to make a mistake, I even tried to measure some of my other coats. I thought if I wear something inside in the winter, I probably need a wider cuff. Besides this pattern is from Japan, according to Japanese girl's size, it shouldn't be a problem for me. In the end, it was still too big for me. I was quite frustrated because I spent much time to knit this one, I really don't want to end up unravelry it or disappointed about what I had done.

第一件外套終於可以完成其實很開心,至少整件衣服穿起來沒有特別不順的地方,不過還是有很多可以改善的地方,像是,要是當初挑深色的毛線應該會比現在看起來受一點並且低調一點,因為挑了乳白色,所以看起來很腫,而且漂亮的pattern感覺有點太花了,不過因為裡面搭小洋裝,看起來其實很美麗耶～超開心～～（真是個情緒大起大落的女人～～）
還有要相信自己的直覺,我當初打到一半就覺得好像那邊怪怪的,說不上來的一種感覺,但我一直安慰自己那是因為第一次打衣服所以也許過度擔心了.

I am quite happy to finally finish my first cardigan. At this it is quite like a clothe, but there's still something needs improved. I think dark yarn might be better for this pattern. I tried to wear in black dress inside today. It turned out much much better than what it looked like when the first day I completed it.


現在都很擔心,看到喜歡的織圖但其實花很多心血以及期待打好的那天,但其實並不是很適合自己這種狀況當去逛街時遇到只是將一件衣服從衣架上拿下跟穿上兩秒的時間但當是自己一針一針編織出來的成果時,不是很喜歡時真是不知道要怎麼調適自己的心情........

p.s.：袖口是用袖子去收從93針(42cm)收到54針(21cm) 我的手腕大概14.5cm也沒有特別小（基本上我只有身高小,骨頭算很大的）所以我也不知道原圖的照片是怎麼可以稱住袖口變成漂亮的收口=.=. ..我後來直接縫起來,但這樣袖口跟袖子的接縫會一點有點不順...

安迪說：他覺得袖子接身體的地方也太大了一點(不過我自己倒是覺得那不是原本設計就這樣嗎？）所以也許我可以重打一次,反正第一次打毛衣就是學教訓,下一次也許我就會知道要怎麼打出比較符合我尺寸的衣服.另外要是我不滿意也只是擺在那邊不穿,我也不會更開心........真是兩難～～～

我今天特早起一早又開始修我的袖子,發現縫起來後好像還不錯,不過因為只收一邊所以感覺有點不平均,我嘗試著平均收兩邊（收完後袖口寬剩下19cm）,袖子收完後還不錯看ㄟ～～而且也呈現出我希望的泡泡袖～～真開心！！這樣就不需要重打了！！(晚點再來照相！）

因為之前英國天氣頂溫暖的,溫暖的駝毛握在手上打不下去,另外也擔心手出汗把我的外套弄髒
所以就認真的打起我的包包.目前包包已經打完剩下縫內裡跟把手（但通常這種時候最懶～不知道這樣拖下去又要多久＠＠） but anyway,天氣又變冷了,所以就趕緊回來打我的小外套！

I havne't continued knitting my cardigan for a long time. One was because it was quite warm in the UK. It was very difficult to hold such warm alpaca yarn to knit; also I was worried my sweaty hand might dirty my cardigan. That was why I started knitting my fake-a-gamo. ( my fake-a-gamo is almost done. the last job I need to do now is to sew the lining and handles. I normally feel lazy to complete the last part. but anyway, it's gettting colder again., so I back to my cardigan now.

這是我第一次棒針編織之後用鉤針收編,一開始又是看不懂到底是在搞什麼,非常感謝regina,還有羊咩告訴我那些外星符號的意義,趁著週末也在家狂看itube跟clover的鉤針打法,所以昨天在火車上終於打出來第一個袖口ㄟ.雖然在火車上但我還是興奮的拿我的手機把第一個鉤針的小作品拍了下來（像小朋友一樣！）

This is the first time I use crochet. At first I didn't know how to do crochet, let alone the pattern. Thank Regina and sheephouse to help me understand the pattern. I worked very hard to watch on itune and clover to learn how to do crochet. maybe the experience of provisional cast-on, It didn't take me long time to pick itup this time. I made my first ssk and 3 chaing stitches on the train yesterday. Although I was on the train I still couldn't help take out my mobile to take the picture.

袖口其實是用羅紋編（一上針一下針）,不知道為什麼總是有一兩個洞洞所以我現在第二個袖子有拉緊一點好像就沒這狀況～,我看我第一個袖口可能會拆掉重打.因為我覺得那些洞很醜,另外拉緊一點袖口才不會太大,現在有24公分,我想要收到22公分左右,目前我比較滿意第二隻袖子的寬度.

The cuff is knitted by 1k1p. It wasn't a very difficult one but I didn't know why I had several holes on my cuff.=.= Now I am working on my 2nd cuff. After trying to knit it tighter, this situation seems gone. I think I will unravel the first cuff. One is because I don't like those holes, the other is I think the first cuff is a bit too loose. It is 24cm, I reckon 22cm might be a better width for me.

收編是用兩針併一針加三鎖針.因為我剛開始打鉤針,還不太會控制拉線的力道,所以一下子因為拉太緊，線過不了洞,一下子又因為放太多，左手食指已經抓不住線了．．．OH MY GOD!!昨天在收編的時候打到我都流眼淚（我太專注在盯作品了）這樣真傷眼睛～～＠＠ 不知道何時我才能好好的控制我的線,根據我打棒針的經驗,大概需要兩三個作品來磨練@@

the edging is knitted by ssk, 3 chian stitch. This is the first time I do crochet, so I have no diea what is the best way to pull the yarn. My tears were coming out after I concentrated on the project too much. It wasn't good for my eyes. I think I need more practice to control my yarn.

羅紋編不難只是要花很多時間打...........所以現在要用時間換取成果.....果然我討厭只是在那邊1p1k...

1p1k isn't hard jsut takes time. I really don't like doing boring 1k1p.

打完第二個袖子後我把第一個拆啦!因為覺得真的太寬..但還是有莫名的洞洞~~這到底是為什麼阿!!! 收第二個袖口時開始收編收的比較快了..果然打勾真需要練習壓!!

21/8 開始打領子(或是說下擺)可能打了一晚已經眼花撩亂了但還是很想繼續,所以就有點神智不清.一開始因為邊邊有點捲起來所以不是很確定線要穿到哪邊後來終於搞定又發現怎麼兩邊剩下的袖口長度不太一樣量半天到晚上十點多終於算對了但其實跟一開始一樣我可能是因為拉到織片所以量起來長度會不一樣吧..

I start knitting the colar on 21/8. Perhaps I was much tired than I thought. The right thing I should have done is take a rest and start the next day. So I struggled in the left length between the two sides. First was I the slightly curly edge made me confused where should I put my needle in. then was the balance of the left edge of both side of the main body. I thought I waste about 1 hr to figure out I was right at the first time!!!! I reckon I accidentally pulled it to cause the mistake.

嘿嘿～～等待三個工作天終於到啦！

Finally I've got my yarn. I ordered it from blacksheep.

There are loads of yarns on sale. This is the first time I purchased jaeger's yarn. I was a bit worried the color will be different from what I saw from the monitor. Fortunately they look prettier than on the screen.

這次是買jaeger的毛線一開始很擔心網路上看照片挑顏色色差會很多

所以本來很想很多顏色都來一下但還是乖一點～～

雖然Nature fleece是100%羊毛 ,但觸感很好並不會刺刺的！

這個毛線我打算來打celia的粗編小外套！！

Nature fleece is 100% wool but it is very softer then I expected. I plan to knit a shrugshrug. I hope it will be so nice as Celia's.

希望完成也會像Celia的那麼美麗













My previous plan is - if the yarn is not so soft, even I knit a shawl to knit a shawl. it won't bother me too much!
這個要來打一個shawl!本來想說觸感不好的話當外套比較沒關係,但觸感比我想像的柔順很多呢

補上今天早上拍照的毛線,其實實體顏色介於兩張照片中間不知道為什麼今天早上拍起來特別寶藍

有3捲棉線(要來打我的lunch sack) ,主體色會用桃色點綴色用白色,原本有點擔心那桃色會出乎意料的橘(我不喜歡橘色)但後來寄到的時候還頂喜歡的ㄟ...(因為價格好誘惑人喔~~嗚嗚)

There are 3 skeins of cotton( for my lunch sack) the main color is the peach, I was worried the peach would be too orange(personally, I don't like orange) but the real color is quite lovely!!

不過應該可以很清楚的看到紋路吧...真是個越看越美麗包包(又自己陶醉起來)

禮拜六終於織完fake-a-gamo,這一次學到很多新的技巧.所以過程雖然挫折連連,但其實完成後非常的開心.下午去市區買lining,只可惜的沒買到.所以過兩天可能要去peterjones買布.市區的先生說現在賣布的越來越少了,很多人來問黑色的布只是不知道為什麼一直沒進貨=.=（os.那你們就趕快進貨壓...嗚嗚）

I finally finished my fake-a-gamo, I've learned a lot of new techniques through the process. Sometimes I felt upset but I was extremely happy and satisfied with it. I've learned how to do reverse stitch and also dling double wrap.
I went to Hounslow downtown to get lining for my fake-a-gamon; unfortunately they don't have much fabric. The salesman said it's shame less and less shop selling fabrics now. There are many people asking for black fabric, but they don't sell it.( o.s.: Since so many people asked, why didn't you sell??!!)

本來有考慮要買豹紋的但後來想想還是用黑色好了,因為我很懶沒有去注意怎麼打yo,所以現在只好買黑色的布來遮掩（羞～～）
I've hought of buying leopard pattern as the lining but I still decided to use black. Because I haven't read how to make the yo smaller before I started so I had no choice but use black to cover the whole now.

fake-a-gamo III 辛酸史-My nearly-done fake-a-gamo

雖然說這個包包很美麗,但果不其然美麗必須付出很多代價
因為我很瞎的狂打所以就沒注意到第二段patter2要減針準備接把手
所以只好...拆..(第一次心碎~~並且發誓以後一定要看好才開打)

Just as I thought, it will never be easy to knit this lovely bag; but when all the struggles came out, it still made me quite frustrated. It probably because I was so desperated to complete it, so I didn't even read through the whole pattern, just concentrated to knit it. I didn't realize I need to do some decrease on the 2nd pattern 2 to fit .so when I finished the 2nd pattern2, oh dear, the only thing I need to do it unknit it. ( This is the first time, and I learned a very good lesson- never start a project before I read it through the whole pattern.

所以隔天抱著毛線去參加IKNIT開打第二片織片
結果也不知道是因為第一次去太緊張還是顧著跟大家聊天
打了一整個晚上居然第二個Pattern開始我都打反了
最扯的是我隔天在火車上也是開心的猛打都沒發現
一直到晚上我覺得越看越不對勁到底哪邊怪怪的呀才發現(holly molly!!!)
所以只好...拆...(好想死ㄚ~~~)

It's interesting to cast off stitched in the middle of the row. It was also my first time ever to do this. It took me some time to realize it and after that, I felt so tired. so I carried my new yarn to start the 2nd part of the bag(the back side) I didn'[t know I was too nervous or I enjoyed the meetup too much. I spent the whole night but I didn't find I reverse the whole bag( Maybe I missed 1 row. Heavern knows!!) The oddest thing is I didn't find out even the next day on the train. Until that night, I just didn't understand why it didn't look right. so I took out the picture and check and then .....errr.....What an idiot I was...

昨天回家發現 我把我的織片留在公司
所以又把第一片織片拿出來完成了右邊
雖然打到最後cast off我已經累到腰酸背痛
但很開心ㄟ～
感覺我的包包很快很快就要完成了

I accidentally left my back side in the office. So I took out the front side and finished the right handle part. It is a little achievement when I finished the cast-off. Although I was exhausted then. I think my lovely fake-a-gamo will be done very soon.

I KNIT群編初體驗- Fist time to join I knit club

昨天是我第一次到waterloo的i knit 參加群編
雖然是六點開始但我五點多到的時候已經有一群人一邊聊天一邊打著毛線
大家都很友善,一邊聊家常一邊打毛線還一邊發食物
雖然我是第一次到但大家也很熱心的問我正在打什麼,並稱讚fake-a-gamo真是一個漂亮的包包

It was my first time to join knitting meetup in IKNIT in waterloo. I've thought of going to this place for a long time but I didn't know why I never made up my mind to do so. It starts at 6 every Wed and Thu either in IKNIT or a pub close to IKNIT. (If you're interested in this, please click iknit. I arrived at 10 to 6, there were already some knitters chatting, knitting and chill out. The atmosphere was nice and people were very friendly. I am first time to join them but they were interested in what I was knitting and said fake-a-gamo looks like a very lovely bag.

聊天聊累了開始有人跟櫃臺點飲料起來
所以基本上就像是個毛線咖啡店一樣 有茶有cider
打到沒毛線如果剛好有你要的毛線你也可以現場買 或是毛線工具
打到七點大家都累了所以開始有人翻起店裡的雜誌 隔壁的sue順手買了兩本雜誌
這裡的雜誌跟WHSmith最大的不同就是 沒有塑膠套封起來 所以可以翻了喜歡再買

It is a very relax place, you can go, join as long as you bring your yarn and needle. If you don't have one, you can also buy some at iknit. I like this lovely shop. you can order some drinks if you want. the best part of here is you can flip through all the magazine, not like WHSmith, the only thing you can see is the COVER.

This is my first time to join the meetup. I am sorry I didn't catch most of the British jokes. but I like the meetup so I will go still.

fake-a-gamo II

整個週末有空時又繼續跟這個包包奮戰～
目前已經進入到打把手的位置～遇到了很嚴重的問題～
打第二個patter2在第一排25針之後cast off 3st.接下來再把後續的st打完
之後第二排打到cast off那邊後我就不知道何去何從了
因為我只要繼續打到左邊把手兩邊就會打在一塊兒那這樣永遠都沒辦法分開
所以我禮拜天到kingston的john lewis求救！
才知道cast off後只能先打一個半邊 沒辦法一起打

還好被解救了但還有更大的困難在後面
打半邊還要隔一牌要cast off
所以我只好自己重新把pattern做筆記！（oh dear~~)
一邊不要忘記雙排都是由左往右打所以要記得看著pattern其實要倒過來
打到最後因為最後一個步驟錯誤發現跟照片不一樣,只好拆！
還好john lewis的小姐說的對：不懂的時候看圖片,照片會說話
我開始自己研究,試打
所以第15排最後原本是double wrap但不需要double wrap
第十六排就直接k就好 終於打好半邊！！終於！！！

現在要開始研究什麼是reverse stitch還有學到應該把pattern整個讀懂再開打,我常常做料理也是這樣,所以到一半就會遇到很多trouble. 我決定要改掉這個壞習慣！！

I spent most of my free time to work on fake-a-gamo
Because now is in the critical handle position, I encountered a very big challenge which I haven't met before.
I have to cast off 3 st. after 25st. and then continue the pattern. This is my first time to cast on in th emiddle of the project. So I knitted accordingly. after that I continued to knit hte 2nd row when I knit until where I just casted off. I didn't know where should I knit. If I countinue to knit over, the 2 parts between the handles will be knitted together, which isn't the result I want. So what the hell should I knit? I think I probably can knit the 3rd row and continue til the pattern2 finished. but I wasn't so sure. I decided to go to Kingston for help.
It was a rainy day. The weather wasn't so nice as my mood. I was frustrated about my bag. and I really wanted to know the answer. I couldn't sleep well because I was keeping thinking of a question which I didn't have answer. Thank God I met a very helpful lady who told me I should just forget the left side( Since I am working on the right side) continue my work at the right side and finish it and then it will be done. I was very happy I went and get the answer I wanted.

I came home to continue my knitting. Undoubtedly, I encountered more problems in the back. Thank God I remember what the lady told me. The picture will tell you the answer when you puzzle. SHE IS RIGHT. I made some mistake by knitting according to the pattern. so I look at the picture and hope it can tell me the direction. I revised it myself and it did look like what it should be.

The 15th row should be k5(double wrap), p19, k9(without double wrap-'cause you want to keep this for the edge of the handle)

Now I have to learn how to do reverse st. and knit the back now!

I found I have a very bad habit: I start knitting without reading the whole pattern. I am like this when I cook! This is not very good. That's why I stuck in the middle now and that's why I am used to in a caos when I cook. I promise I will discard this habit!

毛線換季了-new season now

昨天利用午休走到slones square想要去採購打折毛線
沒想到～～棉線已經全部下架換成秋冬線
真是震驚又失望～～

只好悶悶不熱的走回辦公室

I went to slone square yesterday again. I was thinking to get more cathay.
Unfortunately they've been off shelved and there is only autumn-winter yarn now.
The lady said I may try Osford circus but I don't wanna go there....
Such a dissapointed afternoon.

I received a website from a member of london knitting meetup group
It's a campagne by knitting a hat to rescue kids
I think it's difficult for people who live in Taiwan to imagine how cold it is in winter in the UK.
Even me as an adult can't tolerate most of the time.
Plus electric bill and gas bill outrageously rise recently. I have no idea how we can survive through this winter!

I think it is a very nice thing to take part in. I will start knitting this from tonight!

fake-a-gamo I-start my fake-a-gamo

最近因為英國天氣莫名的好了起來所以駝毛的小外套打起來很熱,
開始轉換目標開打新包包！！
這個包包就是用之前買的cathey來打的～
第一次打棉線但手感很好！但棉線不像毛線那麼有彈性,所以tension就要比較注意！
British Summer turns to very warm these days, so I stop temporarily knitting my cardigan and start my fake-a-gamo. This bag is knitted by Debbie Bliss cathey which I bought in Peter Jones at 50% off!! This is the first time I knit by cotton. Cotton isn't like wool so elastic but Cathay is a very nice yarn to knit. I do like it a lot. Shame British weather won't allow me to knit many cotton clothes to wear here.

這個pattern有個很神奇的地方就是要用double wrap跟drop 11 stitches然後knit together!!
所以我昨天一整天都對著這個神奇的部分發呆！！
當然就一邊上班一邊若有所思～
然後因為打不出來就悶悶不熱～（當然對外就宣稱是因為天氣太熱所以發懶）
昨天下班前被我打出來（其實是因為自己看不懂那些英文吧～每個字都看的懂但是湊在一起就是不懂還虧人家寫的那麼清楚）
anyway,想出來後興奮的想要放煙火ㄟ！！
不過因為在上班不能太囂張！
I learned something new this time. Which is double wrap and drop. I didn't firgure out this amazing part at the first time. The more frustration I get, the desirably I want to figure it out. It turned out I kept thinking of it the whole day yesterday. It made me so upset cause even I tried to looked at it thousand times I still didn't get it. ( I claimed it was all because of the hot weather!) Thank God I finally worked it out before 5! So I tried it on the train back home( I couldn't wait to take out my yarn to try but I couldn't!!)Anyway, it's always nice to work it out!

買到五折debbie bliss的cathay！！-at Peter Jones

前天走到Sloane Square的Peter Jones居然發現他有一堆毛線在狂打五折
所以不顧形象的在花車面前翻了起來
不知道是不是因為是夏天的關係 大多數的毛線都是棉質的
所以怕冷的我只能買棉線來打包包完全沒辦法打衣服
昨天翻到黑色的debbie bliss cathay的線 有七捲
只差我要打fake-a-gamon的八捲一捲
就狂翻～～翻阿翻的一下子是翻到rowan或Jaeger
本來都要放棄了喔～後來居然真的被我翻到～喔耶～～
所以帶回八捲線只要10.8英鎊！超high的啦！！

I popped into Peter Jones in Sloane square on Monday and accidentally found there's a big sale on yarns. I don't know is it because of summer, most of the yarn are cotton. It is a bit disappointed because I hope I can get cheap cashmerino aran or baby cashmerino.( Maybe it will never happen for those are popular and very good quality yarn from Debbie Bliss!)
I found 7 skeins of black Cathay in the end. It was 1 skein less to satify the yarn for fake-a gamon!! so I tried so hard to turn over the whole basket to find it. Thank God I found it in the end! It only costs me GBP 10.8 for 8 skeins!! What a bargain!!!

Margaret Cardigan-II-On half way now! 小外套已經打了1/2了

It was knitted nearly 50%. This is my first time to knit a clothe, so I spent a lot of time to figure out hte pattern. My colleagues told me they thought it looks very lovely and even them feel very attempted to start to learn how to knit! I didn't think it will amaze them so much at the very first beginning. The very first thought is to knit a cardigan to wear in UK.
I already finished a sleeve and the main part.

由於是第一次打整件衣服 所以之前花很多功夫在看懂織圖上面
今天同事讚美說很美麗 圖形很立體 連他都有一點點心動想要動手了
說實在的剛開始真的沒有想到會有這種效果呢
只是很想來一件小外套抵擋英國的壞天氣
現在已經打好一支袖子跟身體的部分喔～接下來繼續打另一個袖子
就算是完工80%吧！

After neglecting gauge I did pay attention to my tension this time. I don't know was it because of the yarn over or I wasn't very good at control my tention. The tention was getting looser and looser. It was not a very good thing!! I have to decrease by myself in the end. I was quite worried about it. I even had a nightmail of failing the decrease!! I am so worried I need to unravel and redo again now!
本來開打前已經有注意gauge
但不知道是不是有yarn over後來打了之後長度還是不對
剛剛更發現 每一球可以打的行數越來越多！！
我這下真的完蛋了！！
接下來要自己算針數減針但那天還作夢夢到減針失敗一整個嚇醒！！
好擔心喔～～不會要拆掉重做吧！！！

Next challenge will be the cuff which will be needed changing neeldes to make it a natural wave and use crochet to finish. I haven't done any crochet so far.. ( It probably will be a very big task for me)

終於完成shoulder warmer, finally..I finished my shoulder warmer

我終於打完了...拖了快三個月..好不好意思喔～～
但我是有苦衷的～～因為打完之後發現,這個作品的長度好像不夠長,所以穿起來好像小飛俠！（超傷心～～）
另外我被pompom困住,一開始上網找作法,然後看一看就因為沒有厚紙板（別怪我,英國文具很貴的）
後來好不容易用cereal的紙盒來當厚紙板,也從古董文具盒中翻出圓規
某天下午我終於做了我人生的第一顆pom pom..
但～～我覺得,那個pompom不甚滿意
所以就沒有勇氣作第二顆
就這樣..一拖再拖...昨天我想我總不能把我嘔心瀝血完成的作品丟在一旁這樣也不對
還是要把他完成看看會不會穿一穿就垂下來就不會那麼像小飛俠～～
所以..我完成了....


Finally I finished the project..It has been postponed for nearly 3 months. I feel so guilty about it. But it's not because I was lazy, Just because I wasn't satisfied after I finished it. I don't know is it because of the lenght isn't long enough, somehow, the ridge wasn't long enough to make it look smoothly lying on my shoulder!!

Besides, it is also a project with some many details. I have troubles of doin pompom.
First I thought I need cupboard to make it. But where can I get cupboard? Eventually I used Special K's box to make 2circles. But after that, I found so many different ways to make Pompom just use hands.( So frustrated..) When I made the first pompom, I didn't like it. That is also why I had no courage to make anothe r pompom to complete this project.
Anyways I finished it yesterday. I don't think it's right to set aide just because I failed some parts of this. I also hope the ridge will be longer because of gravity once I start wearing it.

This is my next target...I've successfully bidded some debbie bliss alpaca silk DK for this. So excited! get 10 balls for 23.5pounds(including freight!!) I will try to do this.before Fake-A-Gamon.

開始打了第一個pattern,因為線很軟所以非常不好打,另外這是我第一次打日本的織圖
所以研究好久終於看懂那些斜線與圓圈圈到底是什麼意思～～
原來是要拆開來看阿～我把他們擺在一起看所以翻遍參考書都看不懂那些記號～～
還好有一天突發奇想把圖形都拆開看,寫信去問羊咩,終於得到解答
羊咩順便告訴我用別針起針..所以今天花了一整天在研究別針起針
雖然羊咩的網站有圖片但我就是很笨看不懂那些圖片...
後來還是上youtube看了provisional cast on才看懂
（這還是晃了很多地方終於發現別針起針就是provisional cast on才救了我一命）
然後開始試打..才知道原來空針就是yarn over..
也終於搞懂什麼是中上三針併一針（但說實在的...這些都沒有別針起針難...)
anyway,開始上工了！希望後面不會又是很崎嶇的道路....

shoulder warmer

雖然已經四月底,但倫敦的天氣可ㄧ點也不像春天
先是來了場好多年不見的四月大雪,再來最近則是一直下雨april rain.
因為怕冷,所以我繼續打著冬物..
最近辦公室很通風...所以決定來打一件shoulder warmer..

Although it's already end of April. The weather in London isn't spring-like at all. We had a April snow which hasn't come for nearly a decade. There is continous April rain recently. Because I am still not used to the cold weather here. so I decide to knit myself a shoulder warmer.

目前我已經完成2/3喔...
這個作品讓我挫折很久..第一次打起打兩百多針的作品,驚覺stitch marker的重要性!!所以決定要來買stitch marker,找到clover的新段數記環可以像小鎖頭一樣,就不會掉!!超興奮!!
另外,也學到怎樣平均減針~~從一開始在想是要ssk,還是k2tog到後來才知道ssk會歪一邊..翻書..所以..停工很久..已經開打兩週了..中間還遇到沒毛線..爲了想省錢所以在ebay買但ㄧ球也要4英鎊..

I already finished 2/3. This is the first time I stitch on over 200 stitches. I didn't realise how important stitch markers are until this project!! I struggles so much on stitch on.( Because I don't want to make a mistake from the very first beginning. so most of the time I was counting the 244 stitches and forget where I was.!!!)So I decide to buy some stitch markers. I found a new stitch markers from Clover which are like little locks which won't be loose so easily. so I am very excited about them! Besides, I learned how to decrease evenly. It is just a sentence on the pattern, but it is a big challenge for me!! I know the basic principle, but I didn't know how to make it. so I searched on line, refer my knitting books, ask Red, finally, I found the way... It has been 2 weeks, and I was short of yarn last weekend. It is not cheap to buy yarns in the UK, therefore ebay is always my first choice.

中間有打到stocking stitch,stocking 就是ㄧ排下針ㄧ排上針,有什麼難的..哀..但因為起針是雙排數..但我還是很單純的從下針開始打..所以..作品就會很獨一無二(因為打錯...><)不過我到蠻喜歡這意外的錯誤喔..剛好變成一個小圓邊...我想再下來很快了...希望很快就可以跟大家分享作品!!!

I made a mistake during this project. Talking about stocking stitches. Easy, 1 row of Knit, 1 row of Purl. But I was puzzled because I have to knit from the wrong side. I tried to figure out what it tried to say on the pattern, it didn't emphasize it means prul first and then knit. so I decided to knit first and then purl. Of curse I was wrong... that's why the project will be just one of the kind because of this mistake. I found I quite like this mistake cause it is just a little edge in the middle of my shoulder warmer.

I reckon it will be finished very soon. Hope I can share with you guys when finish!!

如何平均減針,how to decrease evenly

我現在在打一個shoulder warmer,目前遇到的瓶頸是如何平均減針.找好久就是說k2tog.(knit 2 together or ssk) 但這個好像都不是我要的...後來居然找到這個網站,只要打入你要減的針數,就會跑出來減針的建議喔.像我現在打的244針,左右各留3針邊緣,所以意思就是238針要平均減掉28針,ㄟ那就要平均每8.5針減一針...><還好有這個網站....

Here are two possible ways to decrease stitches evenly across the row.
Unbalanced.
( knit 6, k2 tog) 28 times, end knit20 .
Notice that this method reduces sort of evenly, but the first decrease and last decreases may be different distances from the edge. Sometimes, depending on the number of stitches in the row, this "unbalanced" decrease happens to work out the same as the next increase. For many items, this a perfectly good method to calculate decreases.
Balanced space at edge.
Knit 3 , ( k2 tog, knit 7) 10times, ( k2 tog, knit6 ) 7times, ( k2 tog, knit 7) 10times, k2 tog, knit 3.
Notice this method is as symmetric as possible around the center stitch. It is a pain in the neck to calculate, but it prevents your sweater hem from shifting strangely to one side. Some people don't ever bother to do make sure their increases are balanced and work unbalanced increases even when it matters.

This is it!! I spent so much time to look for the right yarn for it. Because the yarn is from the US so I couldn't find exactly the same yarn here. after I found the yarn, start looking for bag handles. It's so unbelieveable how expensive they are in the UL Even it's ugly it costs 6 pound. But I found some on ebay which is 10 pounds for 5 pairs. But the good news is I found a very nice and good quality one. I reckon I would use it after all( although it's not cheap..)

就是這個包！讓我找毛線就找很久了,因為是美國的pattern,所以那個毛線英國沒有賣..所以最後在john lewis買tensiony最接近的rowan big wool,之後找把手..英國的把手竹製的醜不垃圾也要6英鎊（大概四百塊台幣！）但是ebay可以買到五付六百塊.重點是我找到一個木頭的很美..所以應該會用那個!（當然也是很貴..)

I also found the ribbon. so..what do I need? now... I need time and I haven't realize some part of the pattern.

It is not an easy pattern for me but thank God I found someone who had made it before and she was so nice to explain the pattern for me. This is laso the first time I try to knit with 2 strands. I learned a lot by searching on internet.

這個包一開始要先打14排的stocking stitch(一排下針一排上針,我想應該是重複這樣七次）再來要換粗一點的針並且用兩股打...我不會啦....=.=所以現在要等善心人事出現教我打我才有辦法進行下一步了....@@

It is surprising fast after started yesterday. after 14 rows of stocking stitches it will be 6 times repeat the pattern I've finished 2.5 times.( Just used my yarn up!!! I can't wait to go home now again!!) I hope I can finish it before next week. then I can show it to my mom in law and she can help me how to do lining and handles with both 2 bags.

昨天開始打之後速度真是飛快~~14排stocking stitches之後就是六次重複12排的pattern兩天我已經打了兩次半(現在ㄧ顆毛球被我打光所以又是迫不及待的想要回家阿!!!) 希望下禮拜去找婆前可以打完,這樣我可以跟他現我的包!而且也可以依並把我的內裡跟提把縫好~~~

第一次發現記數器的重要性,第一次把14排打成單數結果全部前後相反..挖哩勒...第一次也不知道所以打了好幾排才全部拆掉..好想哭....麻花好難打ㄟ...嗚嗚嗚....

I realize how important a counter is. The first time I knitted the 14 rows of stocking stitches. I made a mistake(either 15row or 13row) so it ends up inside out. so undid it.. Maybe I do need one.
When you are in the middle of the pattern, you might find it seems something wrong. it's not so balanced. but keep knitting you'll find it will back to normal. This is what I found.

這個pattern打到一半會覺得好像打錯因為中間的差差會交叉...(我再補上照片)但其實不要擔心繼續打下去..因為我回去對照片,其實整個包包就是這樣...打到一半好像沒對襯打完看又好了...好神奇的包阿!!!是個看起來很難但打起來還好的包..最麻煩是在打麻花...-.-

I don't know why the hole will become smaller everytime I redo it.( Does it only happen to me?) I was too eager to knit it even on the train so I couldn't help take it out to knit. But it wasn't easy to knit on the trian, especially when I need cable needle most of the time.

After a weekend. I nearly finished it. I started by a very short needle.(23cm) That's why I needed to sqeeze 79 stitches into them. so I found it's quite small. the width is about 34cm, the length is not long enough to fit in A4 size paper. so I decide to knit 1 more time of the pattern to make it bigger. I think it looks perfect size for me now. I realize how important to do gauge first now.

經過一個週末, 我終於快要完成啦!!由於剛開始我只有短針,所以我的79針必須跟擠大腸ㄧ樣縮在短針裡, 禮拜六收到長針後我就換了,但還是比預期的40cm少了很多...只有34cm左右,長度也不夠..所以我多縫了ㄧ次,現在可以勉強裝入a4,不過縫了內裡就不知道會怎樣,我感覺我是打的比較緊了些,所以我下ㄧ步要來拉拉樂,看能不能把寬度拉鬆一點, 不過現在的比例我很滿意...所以打東西前先確定gauge還是很重要的! 哀~~

I don't know will I make another one because it's quite difficult to knit!!Because of so many twisting, I wasn't sure if I knit it right or not. Only found when you looked back....but..it's too tired to undo it. I used 2 strands of yarn to knit it, so it's easy to split th eyarn if I undo it, which annoys me so much. Do I compromise now? Start to accept being not perfect??? I think I will look like a freak to carry a yarn bag under 30 degree sunlight!!!

我不知道我還有沒有力氣打第二個ㄟ~因為真的是ㄧ個打了很累的包包...而且因為捲來捲去很難確定自己有沒有打錯..都打了好幾排才發現..阿天ㄚ~~剛剛錯了..但我沒勇氣拆了...因為這個包拆起來把打更累(因為兩股所以更容易必猜~~~)我這樣算是跟命運屈服嗎?開始接受不完美???

I finished the last 14rows of the project!!! I hope I can finish the lining when we back to Stratford this weekend! I hope mom will not be too busy( Praying!!) and in this way, I can "SHOW" it off when I back to Taiwan next Month! But.. people say it's very hot there now.

我昨天把包包最後的14排上下針打完了喔!!所以等周末見到婆就可以逢內裡了!!喔耶!!!希望他不要太忙(祈禱中!!!!)這樣我回台灣就可以拿我的包ㄟ!!!(超酷的啦!!)但聽說台灣現在熱的要命...@@拿毛線包應該很像神經病吧!!!

週末見到婆最開心的就是要學習怎麼做內裡,先到stratford買了一塊布,因為是新手所以就沒有買太好的,我特意挑了格子布,原本只是想說比較不容易髒,後來發現剛好的在裁剪時可以對線！真是方便呢！！開始學才內裡才知道功夫偵多呢,要先用pin別好,然後用線縫個大概,最後在用裁縫機,真的縫好後再把原本縫個大概的線拆掉～～然後內裡裁好後開始用毛線縫包包兩邊,縫好用線縫內裡,然後再用毛線縫把手～～還好有婆婆在,所以他都有技術指導一下,否則我第一次縫內裡縫錯了,縫把手時也不對...終於一切都搞定後,發現我三八買的緞帶太厚,所以穿不過去.(雖說是1.5in但要軟布)我買時有猶豫一下,但我覺得硬布的緞帶看起來比較高級..不過anyway,我只缺緞帶我已經開始每天拿了！管他的～～沒緞帶也很美啦！

The very first thing to do after work is FINISH MY SCARF!!!
I didn't know what happened but I just couldn't finish it though. so I stopped knitting and think. It wouldn't be right if I continue it. so I looked back the pattern and realize I didn't need to knit the 16th row just make 4 gartner stitches to finish it. and that's it!!! Oh dear!! It took me ages to realize and it was the first time ever I undo so many times in the same section when knitting this scarf!!!
Finally finished!!! Will shape it today or this weekend! YA!!!

昨天下班第一件事就是趕回家把我的圍巾打完啦!!

I thought It would only take me about 10days but it turned out to be a whole month!!

本來以為十天就可以打完的居然也不折不扣的打了一個月ㄟ

The reason is I chose a very thin yarn so I looked for trouble my self. It supposed to be 20~25 rounds but mine is 41 rounds. and I don't know why I couldn't finish it even I am so close tonigt!! It is just 4 rows of knitting..why?why?why? what happened? and what the hell is wrong???
but I am too tired to think.. The only thing I can do now is sleep and continue tomorrow...

不過因為當初就挑了很細的線所以ㄧ整個找自己麻煩
昨天最後四排為下針但打完居然不對
為什麼連四排下針都會出錯...真是見到鬼了
不過因為太想睡覺了所以只好今天再繼續

After conculting red with needles. I decide to buy cheap ones first.
I will invest CLOVER once I found what sized I use a lot.
I didn't wait till the audition finished last night but I still get the 34cm needles and 80cm circular needles.can't wait to get them now!!!

昨天才跟red請教有關工具的問題,想想.. 還是先買便宜的好了
等到發現有幾個尺寸是比較常打的再來買可樂牌
昨天同時標了輪針跟長棒針..因為絕標時間太晚所以先睡著了

Meet Wanchan- 跟光頭妹見面

I went to loop with Chan yesterday. It's good to meet friends with the same hobby.
I was caught by a meeting before leaving the company and got lost in Euston metro station. Plus Northern line is just like a forrest so I was late for 5 min when I arrived Angel station.

昨天跟光頭妹去逛loop,非常開心可以在倫敦認識朋友而且是志同道合的朋友
因為下班前老闆叫開會所以有點晚了,然後又在Euston迷路=.=
Northern line真像是迷宮,衝到Angel站已經遲到五分鐘了(但地鐵裡面我手機不通..=.=)

Although just a short meetup I had a great time!

雖然只是很短暫的碰面但還是覺得很開心

New knitting needles-新棒針

I don't want to waste money but since I start knitting my dream bag, I found my 23cm needles are too short for 79 stitches. so my next goal==34cm...
This is not waste because I have to buy it for my dream bag...(Isn't it a perfect excuse?)

我不想承認自己很愛花錢,但是當我開始打我的夢幻包時我發現我的23CM棒針太短了
所以我只好...目標下一個34CM...這絕對不是敗家....因為我必須買否則沒辦法打包包ㄟ

My poor yarn is squeezing on the short needles now...

我的毛線好可憐喔被我像擠大腸ㄧ樣對待

I haven't had a chance to try CLOVER!! But compare to pony, bamboo needles are much much better for me.
,我自己是還沒打過其他的針但比起鋁棒針(pony)這個竹棒針其實好打很多...

My first ever bag..昨天打好ㄧ個包

This is a simple version of my dream bag. I need to make the lining and sew the handle to finish it. So excited!!! This is a very easy bag to be knitted. I was chatting with a friend on MSN and knitting it and then..finished!!!

還不是上ㄧ篇提到的但是是簡單版!沒有那朵花然後今天要去買把手!!就要完成了..好high!
其實只是打一打對折而已...完全不需要技巧....

It made me realize how chunky it would be with 2 strands of DK yarn. and I also make 43 rows although I would like to make 51row but I didn't have enough yarn for cast off. but I think 51 row is a bit long.

但體驗到用兩股dk打也很有chunky感！另外我打了43針所以比原本的多ㄧ排花本來是打了51但發現線不夠cast off..只好作罷不過我也覺得51有點太長啦！

It should be a very good bag for tesco or lunch shopping bag!

這大概去tesco或是附近買東西很好的小購物袋吧或是中午出門用餐？

P.S. the yarn was left-over from my first scarf! How amazing it's just about right!
p.s.s.我的是白色的喔..把給婆婆的圍巾剩下的白色線用兩股打...居然剛剛好....哈!

Cast on

As a beginner. I always have problem about how to adjust the tension when knitting.

對於編織新手的我,常常很頭痛怎麼調整線的長度,跟到底要拉多緊

And I found when I cast on the yarn between two needles will getting longer and longer??!! I've tried to not pull so tight but it turned out to be quite loose at the first stitch. so I tried to purl it tighter it is difficult to make stitch in the second row! I do wish I know the secret of cast-on!!

我發現我cast on時兩根棒針中間的線常常越打越長,因為我發現拉不緊的時候,第一針就會空空的,所以我就會希望可以拉緊一點.但到底中間的眉角是什麼呢？

I undo 3 times when cast on 79 stitches for my dream bag today. The fist time is the yarn between two needles is too long. so I think maybe I could just made 50 stitches and use the yarn to make the remaining 29 stitches. but it was too tight..... The second time is I missed 1 stitch!!!!! I have thought of increasing stitch rather than undo but I don't want to ruin my bag at very first beginning

到現在還沒搞清楚,所以剛剛在打一個79針,就拆三遍！第一遍是因為中間的線剩太長,歐八喪個性的我就想說那我上50針多出來的線可以繞剩下的29針,但同時也發現太緊又用了5.5mm 的棒針打,所以要真的打第一排就很難打,第二遍打了打結果少一針..（是怎樣！！！）唉...我想明天再繼續好了..累了..........其實有想到用加針不要拆算了但龜毛的我就是希望不要一開始就用這種補救的....

What knitting inspires me...打毛線的啟示

I never realized how much knitting will change my life. But I do learn a lot after starting knitting. Take Yo for example. At first, I didn't know which way to yarn over, should I do it clock-wise or counter-clockwise? And the point is the yarn will change it position depends on the stich you've knitted.

如果硬要說打毛線改變我的一生是有點誇張,但我發現打毛線中也有很多人生的大道裡呢.像是我剛開始不會打YO-Yarn over,雖然道理就是多繞一圈增加stitch,也有人說就是把毛線拉到前方,但毛線會因為上針下針方向不一樣,打下針完,線會在後方,打完上針,線在前方,當你打完下針要再打下針,你就需要把線拉到前面（反時針喔）,打下一個下針,線會自動的繞一圈打完上針線已經在前面了,下一針要是下針,就不需要動.理由跟上面一樣,打下一個下針,線會自動的繞一圈那打完下針要打上針,你必須多繞一圈否則只是拉到前面就跟1k1p一樣,多繞一圈才會有增加一個stitch的效果

I struggled a lot and learned by trial and error. It also remides me the very first beginning I didn't even know how to knit 1k1p, so I accidentally made YO then. and also I tried to turn over and of course it would not be right!

這是學習的過程,我本來也不知道就亂繞一通,但打阿打的突然就會了,很幸運的是剛開始多繞一圈洞也沒有特別大...突然想到我剛開始連1k1p都不會,因為我不知道怎麼順毛線的方向,所以當初還不小心打成YO,也有把針整個反過來打,完全不知道自己在打什麼

When knitting, you have to stop and check. if you just keep knitting you'll never know when you made a mistake. Suppose you found one, and then it's time to consider to keep knitting or redo!!My mom-in-law often just skips it and continue, but I can't. I will definetely undo it . so it's not easy to run for perfection!

另外當分心時常會打錯,所以常要停下來看看剛剛打了什麼,否則等一下是要裝瞎子沒看到繼續打下去還是拆呢？這就是考驗人性的時候,像我婆就是會繼續打當成沒看到,但我就很龜毛一定要拆,因為不覺得不拆很彆扭嗎？所以追求完美也是要付出代價的...
This article just some thoughts. I am glad I have a wonderful husband. Most of the time he would like me to share with him. Unfortunately he can't understand what is knit, what is Purl. But even though. he's a perfect listener although most of the time he isn't sure what I am talking about. I am glad to know myself more through knitting. I think I am that kind of girl who will keep trying til I make it in everything.

這篇完全是在自言自語自己的心得,因為跟安迪分享他很開心,但他聽不懂我在那邊knit, purl個什麼....不過他是個好聽眾,雖然聽不懂但很努力參與...也透過打毛線對自己認識更多,我想我就是不會的東西就是要學會,這一點真的是不管是什麼事情都是一樣的態度(羞～）

矛盾

We have strange weather recently in the UK. Sometimes warm, sometimes cold to death! Sometimes rainy sometimes sunny. Andy said it's very good for plants. Does it mean Spring is coming?
最近的天氣真的是很奇怪...一下子溫暖一下子又冷的我唧唧叫！有時候才下雨沒多久一下子又出大太陽,安迪說這樣對植物很好...這就是春天要來臨了嗎？

If it's cold, I can stay home knitting. but if it's a sunny day, it's shame I can't sit by the sofa to knit..... errr... I am so addicted to knitting.....

天氣冷的時候就窩在家裡不用出門打毛線...但出太陽很溫暖不坐在沙發打毛線又很可惜...我.......中毒已深..........

我打我打我打打打

我最近...迷上打毛線...有點...打的太開心了...雖然我一直覺得自己跟英國在認識安迪前真是沒什麼關係,但其實我覺得在有些方面我真是適應得很好像是覺得我想要來學打毛線,學裁縫,動手煮料理....我的毛線球跟棒針跟第一本書是去年我婆聖誕節從英國寄到日本送我的,因為他知道我一直很想學,所以就在聖誕節的時候送給我但我很不爭氣的看書都學不會..我們兩個還上網看cast on,跟第一針knitting..老天爺阿～～沒辦法啦...我看不來之後安迪覺得我很可憐也跟著下海來玩,看著一個大男人被毛線纏身,我也覺得他好可憐...所以就等到四月我公婆到日本找我們玩時,親自交我...但..因為沒有繼續練習...下一次心血來潮時...忘了.....

第二次是剛來英國時,我又興沖沖的捧著棒針跟毛線要我婆教我,他對我真的是很有耐心ㄟ..這次我很快就pick up了.（大概內心有5%的記憶）然後我婆還特地帶我去毛線店買了純色的毛線給我玩,因為上次他送我的是長毛還混色..我是一整個看不懂阿！！但回到倫敦,因為又忘記練習..我又忘了............（我開始有罪惡感了..並覺得這輩子我應該都學不會了）

第三次,我鼓起勇氣的說,媽,可不可以教我一次,而且我回倫敦有認真練習...終於在我天天玩一下的狀態下,學會了ㄟ...然後我開始上圖書館借書,試完不同的pattern...我終於打出第一條圍巾喔...（雖然我婆叫我用上下針就好..我硬是不要！）雖然看起來很複雜,但其實也是上下針的組合而已...我這條圍巾要送給我婆,謝謝他教我打毛線..真是不厭其煩阿！現在我在挑戰百能太太打過的一條圍巾...第一個pattern,我打了結果因為太美欲罷不能,第一天就打了15cm!!真是miracle阿！！！

第一組棒針與鉤針

我的第一組棒針是我婆婆去年聖誕節送我的,但因為是鋁的,很滑又很長,所以我一直對於學不好knitting這件事是棒針的問題,（就打一打前幾針就掉了...）後來上網買棒針,因為剛學很怕自己只是一時興起,所以就買了便宜的竹針來試試看,第一組棒針是15對吧,從2.75mm到10mm,但這樣含運費也只要600台幣,所以我就買來試試看,雖然很便宜,但目前為止我覺得很好用,只是要是用很細的線我都會擔心會不會折斷！看大家都在討論clover,但因為我只能看買不到,所以希望下次回台灣有機會去玩看看,這麼貴的棒針到底是好在哪裡阿！！！

買了棒針之後就是開始看書,看了書就會開始想說,那我也想要買鉤針,也想要買輪針..所以目前還是處於克制自己不要太衝動的階段!!不過上禮拜我買鉤針了,因為我對於掉針這件事情已經到了很希望有個鉤針來幫忙的程度,是這樣的因為我沒鉤針,所以一開始就是拆！拆的技術不好就變成拆的很醜,重打又很緊,不過在只打上下針時,實在差別就不大,開始打蕾絲編法發現,有打YO(Yarn over)要拆就要很小心拆了喔！已經不是可以隨便開玩笑的了,後來一邊看書發現,可以用鉤針補救ㄟ,沒鉤針時,我的美甲組裡面有一個類似鉤針的工具(羞)但我從沒拿來挖指甲啦！！！所以其實還是很乾淨...但某一天,那個工具居然不見了！！！

所以我就覺得,是該買鉤針的時候了(真是完美的藉口阿！！！）

Regarding joining the yarns

I found it from internet. This is a not bad way to join the yarn, but the joint part will be thicker. Compare to the way I learned from Patons, It is quite similar, but the way Patons does is cut some part of your yarn(both sides) and join them together. the good side is the width is still the same but the bad side is I can't curl it back perfect. That's why I prefer russian join.

在網路上晃來晃去找到的,真是不錯呢,昨天接成功了,不過接的地方會比較胖就是(線的寬度從一倍變成兩倍）...我第一次在patons的書上學到的接法是把兩端毛線各剪掉一部份（4ply你就剪掉2ply)然後捲起來,想想這方式跟那有點雷同ㄟ,但剪掉某些部份就是會花花的另外重捲也不ㄧ定捲的好.

I learned another way to join is try to finish your yarn at the WS side.and then make a knot( right cross left, left cross right) which is not to bad.
我最近再梳上又學到另一種方法,原本的線最好是結束在背面,然後新的毛線跟舊的毛線要打結在一起(新的左邊線放在舊的右邊線) 這還不錯,之後在藏線頭

I can't say which is my favorite. Maybe you have to adjust depends on your project.
我不知道哪一個我最喜歡但也許就是要根據你的作品做一些適當的調整吧!
